MY HAMMOND

My neighbor, Rita, back home asked me to come over and clean out her gutters one day and as I was walking through her living room into the garage, I noticed something in the corner of her room that would forever change my life. I saw a Hammond Organ sitting there. I asked if I could play it and she said sure. It turned out to be a model CV, and I estimated that it was built in 1946 based on the oiling chart under the seat of the bench. It had a few bugs to get out, but after I got her to sell it to me, Jake and I got them all out. Equipped with my homemade Roll-or-Kari dollies, which cost me around $80 rather than the ones you can buy for $300+, we loaded it into my mom's van and brought it up here to school. The main reason that I wanted to buy it was so that I could play in my roommate's band, The Morris Thomas Blues Band. I played the piano with them once or twice but then realized that I can't lug a piano around from gig to gig, so I went to the next heaviest thing, a Hammond. Here are some pictures of my Hammond CV:
